ACI utilizes the latest versions of AutoCAD and Revit along with the Autodesk Fabrication suite of products to produce a 3D model of your project before construction begins. ACI’s BIM technicians will lead the coordination efforts and perform clash detection using Navisworks to ensure the project will come together seamlessly once construction begins. After coordination is complete, ACI utilizes the clash-free model to prepare prefabrication and installation drawings for both piping and HVAC systems, sheet metal ductwork downloads, perform robotic surveying with a Trimble Total Station and to carefully plan and to build your project in a virtual world before ever setting foot on site. This leads to a streamlined project with less downtime, shorter schedule durations and ultimately lowering the overall cost of your project.
Our piping fabrication facility is currently the only facility in Iowa that uses the Panajiris Automated Orbital Welding System. This automated welding system produces x-ray quality welds on pipe sizes ranging from ½” – 48” diameter in a fraction of the time needed to produce the same weld by hand. In addition to pipe fabrication, this highly skilled group of fabricators also manufactures equipment skids, restroom group skids, custom pipe hangers and client ordered custom fabrication. Below is an example of our pipe welding system in action.
